The challenges to be met

Before the implementation of Inside, Keolis was equipped with the Vision reporting tool. This software package is used by different services:

  • Management controllers and file managers in regional and GU departments to carry out their reporting,
  • The accounting department in order to calculate the tax results of the subsidiaries of the Keolis group,
  • The management control department of the South East regional department for budget preparation, monthly statements and consolidation of reporting.

The objective of the Inside project is multiple. “There were 150 users of the Vision tool. But this had become obsolete for some time now.” says Céline Pailliès, Group Accounting Project Manager. “We had to consider migrating to a new solution with the same functionalities as the existing tool but also capable of both securing the achievement of the 2017 tax result and giving user access to real-time reporting on the database Qualiac.”

« Infineo has been our integrator since 2007. ”explains Flore Gradit, IS Backoffice Project Manager. “The teams have been ensuring our maintenance on Vision since the beginning of our collaboration. By offering us their own Inside reporting solution, we knew that we would be dealing with a service provider who already knew the context of our entity.”

Keolis draws up precise specifications for Infineo. There are many expectations. “We absolutely had to start with a new, high-performance tool. We wanted to be able to benefit from a smooth connection to Inside Reporting but also avoid problems with slow data processing. » specifies Céline Pailliès. Added to this is the need to facilitate the distribution and use of reporting by integrating them into the Office suite, as well as the need to store data on additional databases and the possibility of restoring them.
In June 2017, the teams met to set the framework and then development took place from July to October. Users are then quickly trained. “The implementation of the Inside tool was managed by a professional and responsive teame” concludes Céline Pailliès

The use of Inside at Keolis

“When Inside was put into production, the existing tables could be updated. We have also created tailor-made dashboards. Users then access their reports on a shared directory accessible via the application portal and via their own Windows session. Reports can also be sent and viewed by employees who do not have the Inside tool installed on their workstation.

The major advantage of Inside is that we now have access to data from Qualiac in real time. The tables are updated quickly and we finally have the possibility of sending data on the budget and tax bases.” Flore Gradit.

Inside offers very efficient response times. After their training, the users were very quickly able to create reports independently. Moreover, the launch of the tool is a real success and users are completely satisfied with Inside, its ease of use and its speed of calculation.
Some features of Inside are very interesting, notably the “Details” function which makes it easier to analyze certain accounts. But the most interesting thing for us remains real-time access to data, a real plus for the preparation of monthly statements.” specifies Céline Pailliès.
